Data Architect – Sydney Based MNC – Work From India (Full Time)

Compensation – AU$ 1,00,000/- (Approximately 54 lacs)

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced data architect to join our data team. The data team is responsible for business intelligence, data science and data commercialisation.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing the data warehouse infrastructure, including ETL flows, data storage and ML pipelines.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday through Friday, and will be working out of our Sydney office or from home.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify areas of current data stack that need improvement and optimise to industry best practice.
• Build ML dataflows attached to business outcomes (eg identify customers likely to convert/churn).
• Architect the integration of complex systems (eg Salesforce Marketing Cloud and GCP-based data warehouse).
• Develop the enterprise data models and data governance.
• Design scalable applications considering factors of data systems such as database type selection (SQL, NoSQL, data warehouse etc), cost, logging etc.
• End-to-end design and implementation of greenfield data/AI projects.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a data architect role with good understanding of data warehouse/lake model and ETL
• In depth experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Big Query, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, Python - advanced and SQL - advanced.
• Machine Learning experience.
• Knowledge of API best practices.
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices (eg CI/CD).
